Here's my "Phony" costume...

I don't typically dress up for halloween. 1. Because. and 2. It scares Diesel and Darrel.
But I got an invitation from the uber cool Barnett's and knew if I went uncostumed I would not hear the end of it from Jackie. So we printed off an iphone screen and darrel and I both wore black with the copy taped to the front of us. Pretty smart huh?

In other news...I did some massive office cleaning today. Perhaps it was a little bit of activity avoidance partnered with wanting to clean. Regardless, my office is super clean today.

Today I did have a phenomenon happen to me.
I was driving down a road and it felt like "Home".
I haven't had that feeling since driving on the backroads in Illinois. There are 2 roads I absolutely love to drive on here in Nashville. I love the way the trees cover over the road so that it feels like you are driving through a mysterious forest. AND it's so beautiful in the fall. That's where I love to crank the radio and listen to the song of the moment and repeat it over and over again. It's good to have a "road" that feels like a friend. Maybe that's weird but I just have places that feel good to me. It's kinda like the writer of the hymn "In the Garden". It's the places I can walk and talk to God the most freely and share everything that is in my heart and mind with Him. Anyways, that's what I was thinking about today.
